Well the Detroit auto show was a pretty good show. There are alot of new cars coming out shortly that are worth checking out. My favorite of the show was Toyota's A-BAT concept. It is a hybrid truck that is smaller than the Tacoma but has a midgate that can still give you a 6ft bed which with the tailgate down is 8ft long. It is just want I have been looking for. Now I just hope the actually make it.

There were alot of other nice cars at the auto show. The best car there had to be the Nissan GT-R. It is the most affordable and the fastest super car on the market. So for anyone looking to drop $70k on a car that is the one to get.

On my drive back from Michigan I decided to stop at Starved Rock State Park in hopes that the waterfalls were frozen. I wasn't disappointed, the waterfall was frozen but water was still flowing over it and it was snowing out so it was pretty cool, especially since I was the only one there.

That is the same waterfall that I posted a picture of last fall.

I wish I had more time to go check out the other waterfalls, but I didn't get there til a little after 4pm and they close the park at dark. So maybe if I get the time I will go back and check out the other waterfalls.

That is about it for now, but this Sunday I take my first flight lesson so look for an update then.

It has been a busy past month with the holidays. I am now just starting to get back into a normal routine, so it is time to give a quick update on what has been going on over the past month or so.

To start, I had a wonderful Christmas back in Michigan with my family. And then after Christmas my parents and I went up to Canada for a few days to check out the progress on my uncles cabin and to just take it easy for a few days. It was a wonderful time as always. There was a good layer of snow on everything and the lake was already frozen over. We had a great time running on the lake and playing with Cooper. And he certainly enjoyed the snow and the frozen lake.

After the trip to Canada it was time for New Years. I decided to spend New Years with some good friends in Indianapolis. We went out and had a great dinner and then watched the ball drop while playing some Guitar Hero III. And after playing Guitar Hero I am totally addicted and I was lucky enough to get an early birthday present of Guitar Hero III from my parents : ) Which I received at Andrew's 11th birthday party last weekend in Chicago where we all had the chance to go ice skating at Millennium Park, which was alot of fun.

So that should catch everyone up on what I have been up to for the past month while I haven't had the time to update my page. But look for more updates coming soon as I am going to the Detroit auto show this coming weekend and then the weekend after that I am scheduled to take my first FLIGHT LESSON!!!!!!! So there should be lots of exciting stories coming.

And one last quick note. I am still working hard on training for a triathlon. I got a stationary trainer for my bike for Christmas so I can continue to bike indoors while the weather isn't so good. I am running into a little problem with my knee, but I hope to get that checked out pretty soon. And, as long as everything goes well, I intend to do the Steelhead Ironman 70.3 in Benton Harbor this fall.
