2.24.08

It is almost the end of February and I haven't had an update in some time. There hasn't been too much going on around here. The only major thing is that I have started taking flight lessons. Between work and my flight lessons I haven't had much time for anything else. But the flight lessons are going pretty good so far. I have a little over six hours of flight time in now. I am now at the point where I am comfortable enough that I would be willing to fly by myself now. But that won't happen for quite some time yet. My landings still aren't the smoothest in the world. They require quite a bit of experience and coordination. It is like patting your head. rubbing your belly while, dancing a jig all while trying to read a book. There is alot to keep straight while coming in for a landing. Now I am happy that I have yet to crash, miss the runway, or have to do a go around because I was so far off. But I still have alot of practice to do. Here is a picture of the plane I am learning in.

It is a Cessna 152. It is a fairly small plane but I think that is half the fun of it. It is a two seater side by side and has a payload of 480lbs. And yes that includes the two passengers and the fuel load. I have really been enjoying the learning process. There are alot of things to learn but I think it will be well worth it. It still puts a smile on my face every time I take off for a flight.

Well that is about all I can think of for now. I will make sure to keep updating on my flight progress. Also I have posted a video of taking off in this plane on my facebook page so check that out.
